Спасибо за возможность прикоснуться к великому франко Корелли. Видите ли, я живу в Украине, но о франко Корелли знаю давно. Мое увлечение оперой не находит взаимопонимания с большинством людей. Люди живут в другой параллели. Спасибо интернету, он даёт возможность не только слышать и видеть Корелли, но и читать комментарии любителей, из которых узнаёшь много интересного и понимаешь, что ты не одинок. Прочитать книгу зегерса не могу, ее нет на русском языке. Читала книгу булыгина- принц в стране чудес. Сейчас слушаю девушку с запада. Наслаждение! Спасибо вам!

This early in his career one can detect the vibrato issue that Corelli would eventually eradicate to a large degree. Also in LIVE performances of NORMA Corelli, as far as I have heard, avoided the written high C in Pollione‘s aria probably due to his famous nervousness & the fact the aria comes shortly after his entrance. In the studio (as in the 1960 recording) he evidently felt less vulnerable & it’s the only time I ever heard him sing the aria with this high note & his performance there is still the greatest I have yet to hear. In opera‘s like TURANDOT Corelli had more time to prepare his instrument with the high tessitura that followed.
